HIIT Cardio Workouts

Cardio has been given a bad rap lately, but it is crucial to have in your regular week to help burn off that extra blubber. The cardio we are talking about has nothing to do with sitting on a bike or elliptical for two hours at the same speed. We are talking about HIIT cardio! HIIT is commonly known as high intensity interval training. HIIT workouts have been shown to dramatically burn more calories in less time than traditional cardio. HIIT is characterized by short but intense work followed by a longer period of slight rest. For example, if you are on a treadmill you will want to sprint for 30 seconds followed by a minute of walking or jogging. You will do this continuously for about 15-20 minutes. You can perform this style of workouts on just about any cardio machine. The only exception I would make is to skip out on the popular elliptical machines. Elliptical machines are extremely ineffective tools for weight loss. You can’t challenge yourself enough on them and they are notorious for inaccurate readings in total calories burned.

Sugar Free, Low Fat, No Fat, Cholesterol Free, Diet Anything

Don’t get caught up in the hype of these types of foods. “Diet” foods may actually be the reason why you can’t lose weight. Foods with these kinds of labels have a lot of addictive properties in them due to artificial sweeteners, chemicals, and additives. These addictive chemicals have also been shown to increase hunger as well as cravings for even more junk food. You may be overeating because of the “diet” foods.

Sugar and Fungus

Fungus is an issue that has been swept under the rug for a long time but it is slowly making its way back. Fungus comes in many forms and is linked to many health problems, disease, and weight gain. Think about your current diet. Do you constantly crave sugar, bread, potatoes, and grains? The reason could very well be from a fungus problem in the body. Fungus needs sugar and starchy foods to survive. If you constantly have cravings for these foods, you will continue to overeat. Kill the fungus and you will lose weight. Remember, overeating causes weight gain. This isn’t rocket science!

Eat Real Food

This seems like a no-brainer but people tend to forget this. Eating fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and other food that doesn’t come in a box or can will save you from extra calories and dangerous additives. We have been conditioned to eat food that comes straight out of a box so it may be more difficult than you think. If you can make a habit out of eating raw fruit and vegetables instead, you may find your waist line to be a little more forgiving.

Strength Training

Women want a slim and toned body without the bulk. The problem is that most women are taught to lift weights in a manner that end up giving them completely opposite results. Lifting light weights for high reps do not tone the muscle. I don’t know how many times I have to say this for it to sink in. In order to tone the muscles, you must lift heavy weights for low reps. As long as you are not lifting to failure and allowing a few minutes between sets, you will not bulk up.

Throw away your women’s fitness or health magazines

I am not saying that everything in those types of magazines are bad. The problem is that a lot of the stuff taught is nothing but recycled garbage. If you really are concerned about the fastest way to lose weight for women, then I’m sorry but these magazines fall short in that category. It also doesn’t help that these magazines have strayed away from giving good fitness and health advice to endless ads and promotions for hair, nails, and the latest designer hand bags. I am also not saying that they don’t occasional give good advice, but since you are on a time crunch we need to get back to the basics.

It’s Not Bad To Be A Little Obsessive And Restrictive Once In Awhile

You are racing against time to get fit so being obsessive and restrictive with the diet and exercise plan is not a bad thing. You won’t have to follow everything verbatim for the rest of your life. It is important though that you understand that the diet is the most important factor to weight loss. Essentially, you can eat whatever food that you want. Just as long as you are consuming fewer calories than what your body burns you can lose weight. On the other hand, women have difficulty in doing this because they almost always underestimate how much they actually consume. Women also have a tendency of under calculating how calorie-dense junk food really is. That is why I recommend eating real food over junk food and sweets. Now that you understand the fastest way to lose weight for women, it will no longer be a guessing game the next time you need to drop some quick pounds.
